Intermodal Container Transport

Many containers are transported by trailer to a ship and, upon arrival, by train through various countries before being transported back to the customer by trailer. This often results in costly damage, mostly due to the high g-forces involved in rail transport. Veltkamp's relevant equipment is also certified for intermodal transport.

Internal control and stability

During transport by road, rail, and sea, various g-forces act on the container. A stable load prevents goods from colliding with walls or each other. This protects both the contents and the container itself.

Efficient and safe loading

A structured approach to loading ensures overview and control. By paying attention to stability from the start, problems are prevented later in the process. Safety begins with thorough preparation.

Reliability at every stage

Container transport is often part of a longer logistics chain. With Veltkamp's reliable load securing, internal stability is structurally guaranteed, reducing the cost of damage. This also applies to the transport of damage-sensitive goods such as rolls of paper, steel, and aluminium.
